Some of my happiest days have been spent living here in Byron Bay (pre or post-COVID), so I wanted to share a mini Byron Bay Travel Guide, in the hopes that you will be able to visit here one day in the future. Make sure to save this post for later:
🍽️ Eat: @balconybyronbay for cocktails 🍹, @weareCombi for smoothie bowls 🥥, @roadhousebyronbay for pizza 🍕, and @folkbyronbay & @byron_general_store for coffee ☕.
🛍️ Shop: The Sunday Markets are a must-do (although, not on right now). Clothes, art, jewelry, food, crystals. You name it, they have it. For more traditional shopping, I'm obsessed with all the beautiful dresses at @spell & @kivari_the_label.
🏄🏻♀️ Surf/ Beach: Wategos Beach. It's honestly one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to, especially at low tide. We surf, snorkel and have commonly seen whales & dolphins here.🐬
🌅 Sunrise: Top of the lighthouse is the most easterly point of Australia, and a prime location to see the sunrise out of the ocean.
🌴Hike: There are so many incredible hikes & waterfalls in the Byron Hinterlands. Check out, Killen Falls & Minyon Falls. 💦
🚙 Explore: Drive around to Bangalow, Newrybar & Mullumbimby three small hippie towns that all have their own vibe. Keep an eye out for market stalls in between!
Would you guys like to see some blog posts on Byron Bay? Maybe a longer travel guide, what it's been like working remotely & living here, and day-trips around here? Let me know what you would love to see!
