Today, marks a huge accomplishment! 🥳 • • I signed up for @getonyourmarq Virtual 5K and 10K races to help support Feeding America. Originally, I planned to run/walk the 10K but at the last minute I decided to aim for the 5K with the goal of no walking. And guess what??!!......I DID IT! (minus a stop to get some water). For many, this seems minimal but to me it’s huge! After being sidelined with Pneumonia back in February, I wasn’t sure I would ever get back here again. I’m definitely feeling that runner’s high again! 😁 • • P.S. Look at those negative splits! ✊🏻💪🏻

Sitting at home🏠 for long periods with inappropriate alignment will lead to weak back muscles and a slouched posture . 🦒 12 miles for my long run today with the first 4 running with @rungineer_beth who channeled her inner mermaid princess. I had a weekly total of 32 miles and I sadly can’t say how long it’s been since I logged that many training miles. My body is feeling good with only a slight ache in my left heel which I’ll address with some strength training through the week. 🦒 . 🦒 Next week’s plan is coming together. Beth wants to run or walk each day, so I’ll get some extra miles there. I’ll adjust my run/walk interval from 2:00/0:30 to 3:00/0:30 for my Tuesday and Thursday runs. Long run pace will stay at 4:00/0:30.
