Meditation, open and honest communication, psychedelics, vipassana retreats (often ten day silent meditations), Breathwork, ecstatic dance, drama, journaling and play all help cultivate greater self awareness. Then, with power comes great responsibility. The more self aware you are, the more you must question yourself. So, with that new bit of personal knowledge tucked away in the pocket, use it to your advantage. Change for the better. Let go of those beliefs and behaviours that don’t serve. Self awareness is one thing, integration is the other (I think more important) thing. Knowledge—especially of the self—is only ‘potential power’. Integration of that knowledge is when it becomes ‘powerful’.
